Mamiso & Mevah


Born and raised in Madagascar, Mamiso (pronounced Mamsu) is the co-founder of the band Senge, winner of the “Découvertes RFI 1999”. From 2003 to 2008, he was the leader of Ketsa, which won the 2nd award of “festival Paroles et Musiques” in St Etienne (France) in 2005.

This singer-songwriter carried on as a solo performer. In 2008, he released his first album, Espoir (Hope).


With both French and Luxembourgish origins, Mevah grew up in a family of music lovers. She started singing Chanson française (French songs), blues, rock, folk songs, traditional Brazilian music...

She lived in Mayotte (Maore Island) from 2006 to 2008 and that is where she grew fond of the music from the Indian Ocean.


Since 2009, Mamiso & Mevah's duet composes and sings about love, environment, hope, tolerance and brotherhood...  Its original musical pieces mix upbeatness, tenderness and peacefulness.

Mamiso & Mevah's voices are backed up by various instruments : acoustic guitar, kabôsy (Malagasy mandolin), bass guitar, percussions, flutes, kalimba...

Their music blends its inspiration from various musical traditions of Madagascar and the rest of the world.
